About Secret Drop Room: Chat, Share & Destroy

Secret Drop Room is a zero-trace collaboration space built for confidential real-time communication and secure file sharing across multiple devices without cloud registrations, persistent tracking, or permanent records.

Key Features

  • Zero-Trace Self-Destruction: Speak freely and drop files in an isolated room. When finished, click "Destroy Room" to instantly purge all room sessions, messages, and files from server storage permanently.
  • Live AES-256 Cryptography Monitor: Watch real-time cryptographic payload encryption logs as messages are verified and transmitted across the secure room channel.
  • Instant Camera QR Bridge: Simply point your mobile camera at the desktop screen QR code to pair devices and enter the secret room in under 1 second.
  • Volatile Server Caching: Files uploaded to the room pool reside strictly in volatile server caches (/cache/secret_drop_files) and are automatically erased upon room destruction or 30-minute expiration.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where are uploaded files stored on the server?
Files uploaded into a secret room are stored inside an isolated temporary server cache directory (/cache/secret_drop_files). When you click "Destroy Room" or after 30 minutes of inactivity, the files are permanently unlinked and erased from disk storage.
What happens when I click the "Destroy Room" button?
Clicking Destroy Room immediately sends an instruction to wipe the room session file and delete all associated attachments from the server cache. All connected devices instantly receive a destruction alert and are returned to the gate screen.
How does the live AES-256 Cryptographic Monitor work?
When AES-256 mode is toggled on, the engine monitor logs each payload transaction in real-time, verifying PBKDF2 SHA-256 hashes and GCM block encryption before transmission.
What is the maximum file size I can drop?
You can upload and share individual files up to 50MB in size, making it perfect for confidential documents, photos, archives, and PDFs.
